Lockout Ends In All But Name...

So after 113 days and a marathon session about a week before the deadline to cancel the second season in seven years, the NHL and the NHLPA have reached a tentative agreement for a new CBA.

Instead of doing the classic roster update and possible lines, I decided to come up with a couple things you may not remember and a few things that are exciting.

1. PARISUTER DID NOT SIGN IN DETROIT...
which may not be a bad thing since the cap is going down and if they don't want to be in Detroit then it's not our problem. (No, Mr. Devellano, it's not because the Joe isn't updated... It's because they are idiots who don't ever want to win a Cup).

Not mine... don't remember where it's from.
2. THE WINGS DID SIGN SAMUELSSON, TOOTOO, GUSTAVSSON, AND COLAIACOVO...
which may not be a good thing because we lost Lidstrom, Stuart, and most likely Holmstrom (I could have counted Conklin but, is that really a loss?) and those aren't the greatest additions.  I feel like the Wings will make the playoffs because there aren't 8 teams better than us in the Western Conference.

Plus, who doesn't want this much drama on their team?

3. BRAEHEAD CLAN FANS BECAME RED WINGS FANS TOO BECAUSE OF DREW MILLER...
and it's always nice when people in other parts of the world appreciate our guys and our team. They tossed octopi on the ice to honor Drew Miller's last home game in a Clan sweater and there's even a twitter for Clan (and Wings) fans to keep up with both teams.

Now on to things that get to happen again...
1. MIKE BABCOCK GETS TO DEATH STARE PEOPLE!!
Look if you dare but be careful...
2. I get to hate people and teams in Chicago... (I already did, but that's beside the point)
3. We get to break off friendships with other teams' fans that were forged during that dark period of lockout.

Winging It In Motown already has (via MLSE)

LET'S GO RED WINGS!!

P.S. It feels so good to be able to talk hockey without talking about the KHL/European leagues.
